MILAN – Robusta coffee futures rose for the fifth straight session on Tuesday reaching a new 18-month high in intraday trade. The most active contract for November delivery touched a peak of $1,897 per metric ton, their highest price since March 2015, to close the day at $1,889 per metric ton, the highest level for this year.
Robusta coffee futures have already had a good year, with prices accelerating amid indications that poor weather would curb the yields of robusta coffee crops around the world.
