Starbucks will make an entry into Bucharest’s Old Town by opening a shop at the ground floor of the famous Manuc Inn, according to Ziarul Financiar, the oldest operating hotel building in the Romanian capital.
The new coffee shop will cover half of the inn’s ground floor, replacing a host of small shops, coffee shops and bars which currently occupy the space.
The latest Starbucks opening in Bucharest was in the Pipera neighborhood, in an office building, while outside Bucharest – in Constanta. Starbucks wants to reach at least 18 coffee shops in Romania, up from the current 10, and is looking for cities with over 200,000 inhabitants.
