WALCHA, NSW, Australia – Walcha Coffee Pty Ltd, a standout name in the NSW coffee industry, is proud to announce a series of prestigious awards at this year’s Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards and the Golden Bean World Series. This recognition cements Walcha Coffee’s position as a top-tier coffee roastery in Australia.

At this year’s Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards, Walcha Coffee, under the meticulous roasting of 17-year-old Jazz Hayton, secured Gold for the Nat Buchanan Blend in both the ‘Coffee Class 228 Cappuccino / Milk Based – Traditional Blend’ and ‘Coffee Class 233 Espresso – Traditional Blend.’ Jazz’s expert roasting played a crucial role in showcasing the superior quality and delightful flavours of Walcha Coffee’s blends.

In addition to these remarkable achievements, Walcha Coffee was also honoured with two Silver Medals at this year’s Golden Bean World Series, further underscoring the brand’s dedication to excellence and innovation in coffee roasting.

While the company celebrated multiple medals across various categories in the Tasmanian Fine Foods, it is also excited about the upcoming launch of its new roastery in Walcha. Cameron and his son Jazz Hayton will continue their craft there, roasting and serving both filter and espresso coffees. This new venue promises to be a hub for coffee lovers, offering a direct experience of the passion and expertise that goes into every cup.

Cameron Hayton, the founder of Walcha Coffee, expressed immense pride in these achievements, stating, “These accolades reflect the hard work and passion of our entire team, particularly Jazz. We are eager to welcome the public to our new roastery soon and share our award-winning coffee more directly with our community.”

The new roastery is currently in the final stages of preparation and is expected to open to the public within the next month. This exciting development will allow visitors to experience firsthand the art of coffee roasting – with regular tastings, “roast-alongs,” and “cuppings.” It represents the empowering and community spirit that Walcha Coffee embodies.

The company invites everyone to explore the award-winning range of coffees available online and to stay tuned for the grand opening of our new roastery in Walcha.
