TRIESTE, Italy – Sandalj Trading Company has announced they will not be exhibiting for the first time since Salone Internazionale del Caffè’s (SIC) inception, though their sales team will be attending HostMilano individually, whilst offices in Trieste remain open and accessible.
The successful implementation of safety protocols since the very beginning of the pandemic has been crucial in avoiding Covid-19 infection amongst its staff and their families.
These safety measures cannot be implemented within a high influx stand at a big trade fair and therefore, despite willingness and excitement towards the possibility of meeting up with the coffee and hospitality industries, Sandalj Trading has decided to put its employees’ safety first.
Meeting up at HostMilano
A small number of Sandalj staff will travel to Milan and visit friends and clients of the coffee industry, alternating daily attendance between colleagues to ensure decreased risk. Updates from Trieste
Business has not slowed down and Sandalj Trading exports have overtaken national sales. This shift has coincided with national statistics which have shown that in 2020 Italian roasted coffee exports have overtaken national sales.
A number of developments are in the works in the Via Rossini offices: a new interactive website will be launched in the new year, the quality department is unveiling exciting enhancements and an enrichment of services for roasters and cafés is in the pipeline.
