TRIESTE, Italy – Sandalj Trading Company Spa will be exhibiting at Host Milano (Hall 22, stand B47 C48), 13 – 17 October 2023, giving visitors the chance to taste the full Sandalj Blend range at the fair for the first time, along with decafs and single origins. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about all the coffees in dedicated workshops, enjoy Routin 1883 mixology and discover new harvest arrivals.
A feast of blends for any palate
Developed in the early 1990’s, the Sandalj Blend range is a true synthesis of the Italian green coffee importer’s passion and know-how.
The ready-to-roast blend idea originated during a trip to the United States, where Vinko Sandalj and present-day CEO Enrico Venuti, noted roasters’ need for giving American consumers a genuine Italian espresso experience. The solution needed to offer guaranteed qualitative continuity, homogeneous roasting and lighter packaging in 30kg bags, simpler for roasters to handle.
Former quality department head Edy Bieker and his team got straight to work, developing what would become a range of sixteen ready-to-roast green coffee blends. First-born Caruso Blend is to this day the range’s best-seller, loved throughout the world.
The variety within the range guarantees a product for every roaster, market and consumption requirement, and is the crown jewel of the importer’s vast coffee offering.
Workshops galore
Twenty-two coffees to be savoured every day at the stand’s bar, with the phenomenal support of Elektra, Eureka and Mazzer, for a true complete Italian Coffee Passion experience.
In addition to the entire Sandalj Blend range, visitors will be able to taste: a Brazil Extrafino Sandalj Blend 17/18 premium fine cup, Traceability Project’s Brazil Natural 17/18 NY2 Carbon Neutral Fazenda Vila Boa and Colombia Washed Women Coffee Project San Alberto, the Colombia Barrique Rhum Fermentation from the Excellence range, the Decaf Espresso Sandalj Blend and a fresh lot of Colombia Water Decaf.
