VASCON DI CARBONERA, Italy – Sanremo Coffee Machines has teamed up with roasters to make an impact at the London Coffee Festival 2024, one of the most renowned events in the coffee world. From April 11th to the 14th, the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane was the stage for the UK market launch of Sanremo’s latest innovation: the single boiler platform D8.
“We are thrilled to announce the start of production of the D8, following what was anticipated at HOST” states Sanremo Coffee Machines’s CEO, Carlo De Sordi. “This new model is much more than a coffee machine. It is a modular and customizable platform: a powerful tool, designed to adapt to the different needs of the most passionate baristas and roasters and to their venue’s look. With unprecedented versatility, D8 is highly customizable both in functionality and aesthetics, putting flexibility and power in the hands of the boldest professionals.”
D8: powerful, versatile and customizable
D8 boasts a cutting-edge “hybrid” hydraulic management system, enabling independent temperature control for each group. This innovative feature allows for precise coffee extraction control across all stages while simultaneously maximizing steam production performance.
Its technological core, inspired by the iconic Café Racer, and the stainless steel (AISI 316L) boiler guarantee significantly higher thermal stability compared to that of a traditional heat exchange machine.
The new Sanremo Internet of Things (IoT) technology also enables the remote setting of all machine parameters via an app, monitoring its performance from afar, and modifying settings in real-time, wherever you are.
Dhang Tamang and the roasters will take stage at Sanremo’s stand
The London Coffee Festival was also the debut for Sanremo UK’s new head barista, Dhang Tamang, who shared his experience and expertise with coffee enthusiasts and industry professionals.
The London event saw Sanremo testing the D8, YOU, X-One, and Café Racer models, joining forces with 25 teams of roasters.
The spotlight was on the new D8 in particular: English and European roasters alternated at the Sanremo stand in a series of workshops and tastings to discover the potential of this platform and to experiment with their blends.
On Saturday, April 13th, there was a special event at the Sanremo stand: “Latte Art Throwdown” featuring Dhang Tamang, 3 Coffee Guys, and in collaboration with Alpro.
