As of January 2017, the Specialty Coffee Association of America, established in 1982, and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe, established in 1998, have officially become one organization.
The Specialty Coffee Association, or SCA represents thousands of coffee professionals, from producers to baristas all over the world.
Built on foundations of openness, inclusivity and the power of shared knowledge, the Association will act as a unifying force within the Specialty Coffee industry – invested in creating a worldwide circle of like-minded professionals.
Unified but not uniform
SCA celebrates and nurtures diversity. Its members understand the importance of local knowledge and strive to connect every individual with the resources to improve their opportunities and make their voice heard on a global stage.
Representing a global pool of experience and talent, SCA will work towards a better, more sustainable future for the coffee sector.
A global network
Membership will give access to industry guilds for Baristas and Roasters, as well as local events and activities organized and supported by a global network of National Chapters.
The Specialty Coffee Association will host a variety of events each year, including the coffee industry’s two largest trade shows—the Global Specialty Coffee Expo and World of Coffee.
New website
