OMAHA, Neb., USA – Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise experiencing record-breaking growth, continues its expansion throughout the U.S. by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to Saraland, Atmore, and Daphne, Alabama and Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

The expansion into southwest Alabama and south Mississippi is the result of a 4-unit franchise agreement signed by Hudson Sandefer. Sandefur has been in franchising for almost twenty years and owns more than twenty restaurants. He recently started thinking about diversifying.

“Since I’m in the franchise business, I started hearing more and more about Scooter’s Coffee. I had the opportunity to try it on vacation awhile back, so I knew it was a great product,” said Sandufer. “Plus, there was the opportunity to open a location in my hometown of Daphne, an area I already do business. I couldn’t pass it up.”

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries, and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.

According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60% percent of Americans drank coffee in the past day. And 28% people reported purchasing coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant in the past day— a number that’s almost back to pre-pandemic levels. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast! ®” are helping Americans stay caffeinated and safe while providing high quality products with a smile.

“I’m partnering with my daughter and son-in-law who also have restaurant experience so this will be a family business,” said Sandefur. “We plan on opening at least four locations but could expand even more given the right opportunities.”

“We’re very excited to welcome John Sandefur as a Scooter’s Coffee franchisee,” said Matt Sawicki, Senior Director of Franchise Development. “With his knowledge of franchising, as well as his familiarity with the area, he will be instrumental in spreading out brand throughout southwest Alabama and southern Mississippi.”
