NAPLES, Italy – Segafredo Zanetti and Gran Caffè Gambrinus, the most important cafe of Naples and one of the most famous in Italy, have partnered to create a new blend that enriches the Neapolitan espresso tradition, rediscovering typical flavors and aromas of the Neapolitan school, while at the same time looking to the future, the best raw materials are selected in the name of quality.

The blend will be available from October 1st and unveiled at a special event to celebrate the International Coffee Day hosted at Caffè Gambrinus, and combines the talent of the two companies, but above all, the experience and passion of two great empire-building protagonists of the Italian coffee sector: Massimo Zanetti and the Sergio family.

The Segafredo blend for Gambrinus comes from fine origins, its aroma features hints of dried fruit, toasted bread, and spices.

The blend leaves long-lasting notes of chocolate and hazelnuts in the mouth with its strong taste and well-rounded body. In the cup, the cream is thick and dark hazelnut in color. The coffee is brewed only with La San Marco lever machines, which restore the rituality of the past and enhance the organoleptic qualities during the coffee extraction, for an unforgettable experience.

“Segafredo and Gambrinus are two well-known entrepreneurial business in which the holding families have steadily led their own success since the 1970s – and both share a great passion for coffee. Segafredo is synonymous with Italian espresso in the world, while Gambrinus is the Neapolitan espresso coffee par excellence and one of the most historical cafes in Italy. Their union is something that cannot be told, just tasted”, said Nicolas Peyresblanques, CEO of Segafredo Zanetti Italia.
