Segafredo Zanetti’s franchisee Fikret Antakyali celebrated last week the opening of his first Segafredo Espresso Bar in City Center at Cologne-Chorweiler.
The shopping centre, which was modernised by ECE in 1996 and was recently restructured, offers over 100 well-known specialist shops, food and service businesses on two sales floors over a total of around 28,000m² space.
Right at the entrance under the escalator there is a 48m² espresso bar with the globally familiar red-black look, which was implemented by shop-fitters Stonner.
This is Segafredo’s 3rd franchised café bar in Cologne and the 27th in ECE centres.
Mr. Antakyali and his team serve their guests from 9:00 to 20:00, Monday to Saturday with original Italian coffee specialities and a substantial selection of desserts, paninis and real Italian gelatos.
Segafredo Zanetti, Europe’s top espresso supplier to catering outlets, is dedicated to the global distribution of original Italian coffee with the motto “il vero espresso italiano”.
In line with this mission, over 600 original franchised Segafredo espresso bars act around the world as ambassadors of Italian café culture.
The most recent new bar locations include Arad (Romania), Tokyo, Shenzhen and Xian (China), Dubai, Frankfurt and Vienna.
In Germany there are currently 87 original Segafredo Espresso Bars; at least four additional franchise locations are expected to be added in 2014.
