With the theme “Coffee Industry for Poverty Reduction and Inclusive Growth” the Higher Education Summit on Academe-Industry-LGU Linkage for Coffee is finally set on March 1,2 and 3, 2016 at the Benguet State University.
The summit aims to bring together national line agencies, LGUs, private sector and SUC officials, match areas and companies for strategic alliances and cooperation to strengthen Philippine Coffee Industry.
This is a joint effort of the Commission on Higher Education, National Economic and Development Authority-Cordillera Administrative Region (NEDA-CAR), Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges (CARASUC), whose members are the Apayao State College, Abra State Institute of Science and Technology, Benguet State University, Ifugao State University, Kalinga-Apayao State College and Mountain Province State Polytechnic College.
The topics to be discussed in the plenary sessions include the state of the coffee industry, the role of the private sector and academe in the industry and the LGU’s perspective. Presenters will come from LGUs, SUCs and private companies from all parts of the country.
