MILAN – Simonelli Group is among the top 100 most sustainable Italian companies. The Sustainability Award, in fact, is an important recognition reserved for those Italian companies that have distinguished themselves in facing the challenges of climate emergency, turning it into an opportunity to express innovation and activating the best energies in the Country.
The award ceremony of the Sustainability Award was held at the East End Studios – in Studio 90 in Milan on October 11 th . Fabio Ceccarani, ceo of Simonelli Group, was also attending the ceremony. “For more than 10 years we have undertaken a concrete consideration on the concept of sustainability, in particular, on the reduction of the environmental impact of the company and our products”, declared the CEO of Simonelli Group.
Simonelli Group: a greener future
“We are on target to reach total environmental sustainability by the end of 2025, through the strengthening of the photovoltaic system and activities aimed at reducing energy consumption. We are also committed in reducing the environmental impact of our products using the standardized method Life Cycle Assessment. This has allowed to lower CO2 emissions by 23% during the life cycle of our machines, with respect to previous models. We have also developed new technologies with the goal to recover waste energy, in order to reduce energy consumption by over 35%.” in his speech, Fabio Ceccarani, CEO of Simonelli Group, also affirmed.
The Sustainability Award
(addressed to Italian companies with a turnover of between € 10 and 600 million) aims at recognizing the value of companies that have distinguished themselves for sustainable development, social responsibility, and respect for the environment. The selection of companies took place in two phases, then drawing up the final ranking of the TOP#100 entrepreneurial experiences which brought innovation in their sector while implementing,
at the same time, a sustainability-oriented behavior. Even though there is not yet a single
European regulation, rating agencies have developed tools to verify corporate sustainability through environmental, social and governance (ESG) parameters with precise methodologies: Score and ESG ratings. The companies that participated in the Sustainability Award have been evaluated upon these parameters.
