SEOUL – The 12th Seoul Int’l Cafe Show attracted more than one hundred thousand people including 1,764 foreign attendees over 63 countries, which ran in A,B,C halls in the COEX center, Seoul, as the organizer EXPORUM announced.
With the slogan ‘Inspire the World’, Seoul Int’l Cafe Show showcased in a wide range of categories; Coffee / Tea / Beverage / Bakery / Appetizer-Dessert / Ice-cream / Raw Material /Machine-Equipment / Interior / Franchise / Kitchen Supplier / Food Service Industry. 1,300 booths of 430 companies over 30 countries participated.
During the Show, the ‘2013 World Coffee Leaders Forum 2013’ took place from the 20th to 22nd. Various events were included such as ‘Korea Barista Championship’, ‘Master of Cupping’, and ‘Afternoon Tea Party’ that introduced traditional social tea culture and tasting methods of the United Kingdom are scheduled.
At this year’s Seoul Cafe Show, visitors were able to check out the quality brands by the coffee subscription. For the special occasion, Beans Brother had invited 2013 World Barista Champion Pete Licata to hold an event at the booth. Pete Licata came at the booth on Sunday (24th).
There was a flood of people who stood in a line to wait for their turn to taste his coffee.
One of the outstanding scenes was the collaboration of different companies. The Korean Fair Trade organization(kfto.org) introduced four of the regular member company’s Free Trade coffee and chocolates, ‘FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY BeMyFriend’, ‘THE BEAUTIFUL COFFEE’, KOREAN YMCA PEACECOFFEE, ‘ASIA FREE TRADE NETWORK’.
At the corner in the show floor, there was featured session called ‘coffee training station’ where visitor were able to experience the whole creation process in making perfect coffee, which immensely captured visitors attentions.
