PARIS, France – Starbucks introduces Oleato to Paris, France, its breakthrough innovation in the coffee world that brings together the unexpected – Starbucks Arabica coffee deliciously blended with a touch of cold-pressed, extra virgin olive oil. The result is a smooth, delicately sweet coffee with every sip that uplifts your cup with a new flavour and texture.
From May 12, the new Oleato platform is available in select Parisian salons, with three new beverages: Oleato Caffè Latte, Oleato Golden Foam Cold Brew and Oleato Iced Shaken Espresso. This follows recent launches earlier this year in Italy, and selected cities in the United States, Tokyo (Japan) and London (United Kingdom), before now arriving in Paris.
Oleato beverages available at Starbucks salons in the Paris region:
– Oleato Caffè Latte: The Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast, a light, smooth and subtly sweet roast infused with extra virgin olive oil and accompanied by oat milk to create a smooth, gourmet latte.
– Oleato Golden Foam Cold Brew: A cold brew coffee accompanied by a milk foam infused with extra virgin olive oil for a smooth, subtle flavor.
– Oleato Iced Shaken Espresso: Sweet flavor notes with a touch of hazelnut, espresso and oat milk infused with extra virgin olive oil.
Michelle Chin, vice president, marketing, product, digital & sustainability, at Starbucks EMEA said: “At Starbucks, we are always looking for new ways to innovate and bring new, exciting flavours to our customers, and our priority is to be relentless in creating new beverages and experiences that continue to exceed their expectations. The fusion between Starbucks finest Arabica coffee beans and extra virgin olive oil – a unique pairing between two of nature’s finest ingredients – produces an elevated hand-crafted coffee experience. After their first sip of Oleato™, we are confident that Parisian coffee lovers will reconsider their regular routines in favour of this revolutionary new coffee ritual.”
Starbucks is bringing a family tradition that has existed for generations in Italy: enjoying a spoonful of extra virgin olive oil every day for its benefits. This led Starbucks to Partanna, an Italian extra virgin olive oil brand with more than 100 years of tradition that is dedicated to farming and producing high quality extra virgin olive oil.
Partanna has created an extra virgin olive oil blend from the finest Mediterranean olives, including Nocellara del Belice (also known as Castelvetrano) olives from Partanna, Sicily. The blend was carefully selected to perfectly complement Starbucks coffee, which is then expertly infused into the beverage to provide a brand-new taste experience.
Christian Gurria, Director at Starbucks France explains: “We are proud to bring Oleato to Paris, as it presents a fantastic opportunity to invite coffee lovers across the city to try our latest innovative experience, with coffee craft at the heart of this new tasting ritual. Whether you’re enjoying Oleato hot or cold, you’re in for a unique taste experience and we look forward to seeing how Parisian coffee lovers enjoy Oleato beverages for the first time.”
From the first Starbucks Café Latte served in 1984 to the Pumpkin Spice Latte and the newest beverage, the Shaken Iced Espresso, Starbucks continues to provide customers with innovative beverages around the world.
