MILAN, Italy — Final preparations are brewing for the official opening of Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Milan. The Grand Opening Party will take place on Thursday. The signboards have already been installed above the main entrance.
Located at the historic turn-of-the-century Palazzo Delle Poste building on Piazza Cordusio, this one-of-a-kind 25,500-square-foot retail space will feature the company’s premium, small-batch Reserve coffees served in a variety of brewing methods in a beautiful environment.
The Milan Reserve Roastery will be Starbucks first outlet in Italy as well as the first Roastery to open in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and the fifth globally.
The roastery and café will employee nearly 300 workers, including baristas, bakers, mixologists and coffee roasters.
Starbucks plans to open more than 50 stores across Italy in partnership with Italian developer Percassi.
