To address the significant risks emerging in the coffee supply chain as a result of climate change, Hivos is organising a sustainable coffee conference which will bring together industry, government, civil society and research partners to hold a critical and productive dialogue on the issue.
The event is due to take place at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Piet Heinkade 1, 1019 BR Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 3 July 2014.
During this one-day conference, they will present the Coffee Barometer 2014 (a joint publication of Hivos, Solidaridad, Oxfam-Novib, IUCN NL and WWF), look at current and future scenarios, discuss the possibilities to up our game, start to think more ambitiously and imaginatively and reflect on the complex art of scaling up innovations in the global coffee sector.
