DELTA, British Columbia — Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Inc., a premium decaffeination service provider, announces the appointment of Owen Horn to the position of Vice President of Operations effective immediately. Horn holds a Master of Engineering from McGill University and brings to Swiss Water his many years’ experience in chemical engineering, process engineering, and production management.
Most recently, Horn worked at Chemtrade Electrochem, managing its largest division with revenues of over $400 million.
Horn moves into the Vice President-Operations role at Swiss Water occupied by Barry Close for more than 16 years.
Close will remain at Swiss Water in the role of Strategic Process Advisor, continuing to apply his expertise with the Swiss Water Process as Horn completes his transition.

Horn will lead all Operations, Maintenance, and Quality functions at Swiss Water, as well as its sister company, Seaforth Supply Chain Solutions. Horn looks forward to implementing data-driven quality improvement methodologies deeper into both organizations, positioning Swiss Water to continue to meet increased consumer demand for chemical-free decaffeinated coffee.
