MILAN, Italy – The b.farm campus in Honduras, Finca Rio Colorado, is restarting, this time in two versions, to please everyone’s needs: Short from February 23rd to March 2nd; Full from 23 February to 6 March. Always in the company of coffee expert Andrej Godina, an exceptional guide for this route as well.
The b.farm campus in Honduras
The departure is scheduled 1 or 2 days before the arrival in San Pedro Sula expected by 7am in the morning on 23 February 2023. The b.farm staff will be there to welcome the participants and accompany them to the town of Las Capucas, where they will stay until March 2nd (short version).
These campus days provide for the performance of multiple highly professionalizing activities that take place in a familiar and informal environment.
The participant will have the opportunity to participate in a permanent training workshop with enthusiasts, coffee experts and obviously with producers.
The participant will be able to assist, practice and learn all stages of quality Arabica coffee production guided by b.farm’s team of experts and authorized Sca trainers, led by Andrej Godina. The courses follow the modules and the program of the Sca Coffee Skills Program with the consequent release of the Sensory and Green Coffee certifications of foundation and intermediate levels; these courses will take place in the local training school, equipped with fully equipped classrooms.
The events
Participants in the Full version of the Campus will also attend the “Te Van A Conoscer Compa” event, organized by the Cafetelera cooperative of Las Capucas from 1 to 4 March 2023, which will present all the best coffees from the latest harvest through special cupping sessions, tastings, competitions and related events.
It is a unique opportunity for professionals in the sector and not only to taste freshly picked coffees, to buy the best lots exclusively, to get to know their producers live and visit their plantations.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Cocafcal producer cooperative of Las Capucas and with Umami Area Honduras, a project born from the will of 36 members of international origin who wish to demonstrate that a quality coffee production project can be sustainable from an entrepreneurial, financial, social, environmental and local community involvement.
There will also be playful moments, convivial dinners, excursions, trekking in the Celaque National Park and visits to the “specialty” coffee houses of the town of Santa Rosa de Copan and much more.
