Beginning on Monday, August 3, 2015, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf introduces its special selection of single origin organic coffees at participating locations across the country. “Our single origin organic coffees are hand-selected by our coffee experts from farms and estates that span three continents,” says Sr. Director of Coffee, Jay Isais.
“These certified organic beans are carefully prepared to the same high quality that we uphold for all our beverages, with additional environmental supervision at every step to ensure that organic certification standards required by the OCIA and the USDA are met.”
Each coffee is individually hand roasted in small batches at The Coffee Bean roasting and distribution facility in Camarillo to its ideal temperature to enhance the distinct origin characteristics and develop smooth yet robust flavors unique to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
The single origin organic varieties include:
• Peru (Light Roast) – delicate honeysuckle aroma with hints of almond and a crisp apple finish
• Mexico (Medium Roast) – light floral aroma, delicate body with a smooth crisp flavor
• Sumatra (Dark Roast) – deep aroma with a sweet malty flavor and caramel finish
