MILAN – The expansion of the Hey Barista app, the curated guide to the world’s best cafés—powered by Oatly—into new cities across Europe, has been announced. Since its launch in 2019, the award-winning Hey Barista digital and print magazine has served at the intersection of coffee and culture.

In 2023, the magazine evolved into an app that connects coffee lovers with the best cafes in Europe, curated by coffee-obsessed experts who know their cities inside and out.

The app allows coffee lovers to find their ideal café among dozens of Hey Barista–approved spots as well as access to upcoming café events, in-store promos, and stories about the most interesting and creative people in coffee.

The app will also include city guides by local baristas who share their favorite non-coffee spots, making it a comprehensive guide not just for coffee fans, but for anyone interested in exploring food and culture in their home city or while traveling.

The app already has guides for Barcelona, Amsterdam and Sydney. Starting June 10, 2024,the app launched guides for Prague, Berlin, Madrid, Paris, Lisbon, Rome, and Copenhagen, where it will also be hosting launch parties.

Each launch event will be unique, showcasing the distinctive coffee culture and community of each city, from a barista talent show in Paris to hosting an after-party at World of Coffee Copenhagen with the Specialty Coffee Association and Koppi Roasters.

The Hey Barista app offers users a comprehensive guide to 110 cafés across 10 cities, complete with café bios and photographs. Download the app on Google Play or Apple App Store.
