OCCHIOBELLO (Rovigo, Italy) – IMF Roasters, a made in Italy company based in Occhiobello, has been focusing on sustainability and innovation since its inception. Founded in 1994, the company is specialized in the design and construction of roasters, complete plants and innovative solutions for the coffee industry.
The company’s mission has always been combining competence and experience, bearing great knowledge of production processes, continuous research and development, attention to the customer and, above all, sincere passion for coffee, with the aim of developing and implementing the production of increasingly innovative and qualitative roasters, meeting the transversal needs of each customer, from small artisan roasters to large-scale industrial companies.
The relationship between IMF and sustainability
Tradition and innovation come together to guarantee an exceptional level of roasting, a process in continuous improvement thanks to the constant contribution of ideas and technologically advanced solutions.
The biggest challenge IMF accepts on daily basis is pursuing process improvements in terms of sustainability, thanks to its innovative solutions such as the original patented Vortex system, allowing perfect control of temperatures during the entire roasting process, and ensuring a uniform heat transfer to the bean, together with the heat generator – separated from the roasting perforated drum.
The roasters can process tons of coffee, cycle after cycle, maintaining unmatched levels of repeatability of each single roasting profile, regardless of whether it is the first or the last roast of the day: IMF technology has no thermal inertia, with extremely short pre-heating time and total consistency of every batch.
Specifically, during the roasting phase, it is possible to save fuel by using the single burner that heats the roasting air up, flawlessly and efficiently treating emissions at the same time.
For this reason, IMF roasters fall within any legal limitation on emissions, fine particles, NOx, formaldehyde, acrylamide and VOCs without the aid of additional abatement systems. Total commitment to sustainability, as demonstrated by the implementation of a photovoltaic system to ensure the energy needed for the company’s own supply.
