MILAN – The London Coffee Festival opens today, April 20, through Sunday, April 23, at The Truman Brewery in east London. Now in its 11th year, the festival is set to be the biggest ever – more than 30,000 industry professionals and coffee lovers are expected to attend. There will be many coffee based activities to attend- from latte art masterclasses to specialty coffee tastings and barista tournaments.
For those who want to learn more about what is going on in the industry, there will be expert talks and lectures on a range of subjects including sustainability, consumer data and the science behind a hipster’s favourite drink.
The London Coffee Festival: Coffee Masters
Sit back, grab a coffee and watch the Coffee Masters flaunting their expertise on the Faema ‘President’ GTi. Judged by a panel of industry figureheads, the fast-paced knockout battle format will see 16 baristas showcase their skills across a broad range of disciplines, with a prize of £5000 on the bar, and the prestigious title of Coffee Masters champion, the stakes are high! Get ready to see the masters in action.
The Global Coffee School Live
Master the craft of coffee at Global Coffee School Live, brought to you by Sage, Beanz.com and Alpro. Experience unbeatable masterclasses and perfect every step of your home barista process, from bean to cup and everything in between. Learn how to ‘dial in’ with the pros, to pouring the perfect flat white, experts will guide you through your session. All money raised goes towards Project Waterfall, the LCF chosen charity, aimed at bringing clean water to the coffee-growing communities.

The competition showcases the creativity and talents of emerging and established artists, while engaging a deep spirit of community among those who share a passion for great coffee.
