MILAN, Italy — The whole world at a single event: the 41st edition of Hostmilano is coming (at fieramilano, from 18 to 22 October 2019), once again the place-to-be for Ho.Re.Ca. excellence, with competition for places fierce.
This is clear, with just a few months to go until the start of the event, from the growth in the number of companies that have confirmed their participation to date, a total of 1912 exhibitors (+ 8% on the same date in 2017), of which1127 are Italian (+ 7%) and 785 international (+ 10%).
The latter, specifically, representing 54 countries (with new entries including Albania, Argentina, Colombia, Iran, Latvia and Lebanon). But it is also demonstrated by the fact that several major international trade associations, primarily those of the USA and Canada, but from other countries too, have signed a series of strategic agreements with the Fiera Milano event.
All thanks to the possibility of finding among its pavilions only the “best” that a sector booming across the globe can offer.
The world is on stage at Hostmilano, with international partnerships and buyers
A hub “without borders”, an absolute must for the whole hospitality and professional catering world. Starting with those who, next October, will find themselves in the Hostmilano pavilions by virtue of partnerships signed also this year withthe most authoritative Italian and international trade associations, all committed to increasing the promotion and the recognition of the event on the most promising foreign markets.
The United States and Canada. But also Argentina, the Caribbean, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, as far as Latin America is concerned. Or the Gulf countries, in particular the United Arab Emirates; and of course Europe, with the United Kingdom and Spain taking the lead.
A few months before the event kicks off, all of the focus countries that HostMilano has identified on the basis of continuous monitoring of their economic dynamics are set to participate. As part of a strategy that has seen increased worldwide promotion, this October’s edition has pushed internationalisation more than ever before, with Host’s vocation as a global equipment hub right at the forefront. As a result, the target markets have responded by signing visibility agreements with the main media and trade associations.
To further strengthen the bond between the event and the American continent, in addition to the numerous agreements signed with all the most important overseas companies, there is also the prestigious endorsement received from the US government for the fourth time in a row.
The US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service has, in fact, renewed for the 2019 edition the certification that authorises the country’s official presence; a particularly authoritative recognition because it is granted only to a limited number of international events which, on the basis of strict parameters, demonstrate the ability to “successfully offer opportunities to explore new markets” to US operators. HostMilano is still the only trade fair in the industry to have obtained such certification in Italy.
But October’s edition is also set to welcome an extensive representation of hosted buyers. Thanks also to the collaboration with ICE Agenzia, there will be more than 1500 operators from 80 countries, with 80% turnover, and an increasingly comprehensive typological mix, coming to Milan mainly from the USA, Canada, the Middle East, the UAE, China and Russia. To complete Hostmilano’s global status, theBeMyHost project will welcome twenty foreign ambassadors called upon to “intercept”, and share on their social networks, all the hospitality trends across the globe.
