TRADE STATISTICS – World coffee exports slightly up in January

World coffee exports amounted to 8.79 million bags in January 2015, slightly up (+0.25%) from 8.77 million bags in January 2014.

Exports in first four months of coffee year 2014/15 (Oct/14 to Jan/15) have fallen by 0.1% in comparison with the first four months of the last coffee year.

In the twelve months ending January 2015, exports of Arabica totalled 68.44 million bags compared to 68.38 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 43.56 million bags compared to 41.86 million bags.

Overall exports totalled 111,994,189 bags, up 1.59%, or 1,757,864 bags, from the previous equivalent period.
