Dubai-based speciality roaster and coffee shop chain Coffee Planet launched on June 6, its first owned and operated store in Cardiff City Centre.
Coffee Planet managing director Robert Jones said in a statement: “We are extremely proud of to have opened our first managed café. The new café is an exciting step forward for the company, offering the United Kingdom a speciality coffee experience in a high-street environment.”
Announcing the opening of the Newport Road site, Coffee Planet said the concept aimed to offer UK customers a combination of Arabian Heritage and modern Dubai alongside its speciality coffee range.
Coffee Planet sources its 100% Arabica beans directly from farmers in more than 20 countries, then roasts the coffee in its HACCP- and UTZ-certified UAE-based roastery in Dubai.
Coffee Planet create freshly roasted whole beans, ground and coffee capsules available for retailers and foodservice clients.
