MILTON KEYNES, UK – UCC UK & Ireland has been awarded ISO 45001, the international standard for health and safety. The certification is a significant achievement as, as well as demonstrating compliance with health and safety law, it goes beyond legal requirements to show the business’ commitment to employee safety, reducing workplace risks, and creating safe working conditions.
Laura Turrell, HR Director, UCC UK & Ireland said: “ISO 45001 is the world’s first international standard for occupational health and safety.
It’s a top-notch certification that has instant credibility the world over. Achieving certification has many benefits; it means our Health and Safety management is extremely robust and our employees are safe at work. It also packs a big punch for customer tenders and customer retention.
“The certification was awarded following 8 days of auditing across all UK sites plus the field.
The audits were very vigorous, and I’d like to thank the Health & Safety team, led by Simon Badejo, for their tireless work over many months, and all of our employees who spent time with the auditors successfully bringing our Health & Safety processes to life.”
