LONDON – The Cereal Killer Café, which serves over 100 varieties of cereal from all over the world, is set to open on Brick Lane, in the East End of London, on December 10.
The venture is the brainchild of two identical twins from Belfast, whose life-long obsessions with cereals have seen them amass a ton of ephemera related to the breakfast treat, and their collection will decorate the new cafe.
Alan and Gary say they have spent the past six months securing funding through Indiegogo and finding suppliers from as far afield as America, France, Australia, South Africa and South Korea.
Not only will the twins serve cereal, but visitors will be able to sample toast, coffee, 18 different types of pop tarts, 12 types of milk and 20 different toppings.
Alan says: “We remember how exciting cereal was as kids and we are trying to recreate it in our cafe, so you’ll be surrounded by a lot of vintage cereal memorabilia to stir up the nostalgia in all of us. We’re putting our own twist on a regular bowl of cereal by letting you customise it with different milks and toppings. This will be a cafe experience like no other.”
