The UK Barista Championship 2016 is heading back to the London Coffee Festival. The final stage of the championship at LCF will be spread over two days. The 12 semi-finalists will compete on Saturday 9 April for one of the 6 places in the UKBC final on Sunday 10 April. London Coffee Fest will also be home to the finals of the Brewers Cup.
“We are thrilled to be able to take the UKBC Semi and Final stages back to the London Coffee festival for the 2016 season – said the newly appointed National Coordinator Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood – We will also be bringing the semi and final stages of the Brewers Cup to the festival. London Coffee Festival is unique and unrivalled in its focus on the specialty coffee movement.
As a competitor, I have always found the atmosphere electric. It is a fitting venue to host the industries premium competition.
It offers an incredible engagement for competitors, judges and audience a like. We hope to see you there for what is shaping up to be an exciting and memorable year.”
Ludovic Rossignol, Head of Events at Allegra, added:
“We are delighted to support the SCAE UK chapter and welcome back the UK Barista Championship and the UK Brewers Cup to the London Coffee Festival.
We are also very much looking forward to working closely with the new SCAE UK National Coordinator, Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood, who’s a fantastic ambassador for the industry and who shares our common vision and values in terms of delivering highly educational and lively events that elevate standards across the hospitality sector.”
