FANO, Italy – Ultramar Caffè S.r.l., an Ultramar Invest Group company, is ready to install 8 new high production capacity packaging lines for capsules, with technically advanced welding systems. The company from Marche region in Italy has recently purchased 3 filling machines type Athena 6 made by Opem, with a filling capacity of 450 pieces per minute each; 5 filling machines type Pegaso 16 made by Opem, with a filling capacity of 960 pieces per minute each.
The 8 filling machines, equipped with ultrasound systems to weld top lids, guarantees the overall production of over 6,000 capsules per minute, a little less than 3 hours to package 1 million capsules.
The 8 lines are completed with a filling machine, boxing machines and central palletization system each.
The above filling lines are in addition to the 4 already installed during the period 2016-2018.
The implementation has concerned the grinding system of coffee beans too, using Probat mills. Also, the roasting department was developed with the fitting of green coffee stocking system.
The lines were placed within the real estate complex owned by the Group, made up by a covered area of 7,500 sqm circa and an outside area of 10,000 sqm circa.
To guarantee the achievement of company objectives human resources have been increased in all departments, with highly specialized employees, with particular attention to the quality department, which allowed the company to guarantee a high level of quality in the production process and to obtain all the quality certification standards: Fssc 22000, Brc, Ifs, Bio, Fair Trade, Utz, Rainforest, Halal.
Group CEO Marco Nava, has confirmed the strong and decisive commitment of the Ultramar Group to the coffee industry, letting it be understood the purchase announced above immediately became the subject of great interest for the companies in the monoportioned coffee industry, but also for important industrial groups whose assets are lacking in the coffee division.
Ultramar Caffè has a strong and consolidated vocation in the capsules production for third parties having structured its own company and production processes to guarantee its own clients the best result in terms of quality, flexibility, efficiency and innovation of the production processes and raw materials.
Host Milano will be for Ultramar Caffè the important shop window to present its own developments, which are believed to be of great interest.
