MILAN – Updated Rules & Regulations have been released for the 2022 World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits, World Cup Tasters, and World Coffee Roasting Championships. These rules contain minor formatting and clarification updates along with edits for consistency across competitions.

Q: Where will the 2022 World Coffee Championships be held?
A: The 2022 World Latte Art, World Coffee in Good Spirits, World Cup Tasters, and World Coffee Roasting Championships take place at World Of Coffee in Warsaw, Poland, from June 23-25. The 2022 World Barista Championship and World Brewers Cup will be hosted at Melbourne International Coffee Expo from September 27-30.

Q: What about the location of the 2022 CIC?
A: We’ve been working on finding an alternative location for the 2022 Cezve/Ibrik Championship. We hope to have more information to share on the new location soon.

Q: How will travel restrictions affect the 2022 WCC schedule?
A: It is difficult to say as the situation is constantly evolving, for our host partners and for our communities of competitors, judges, reps, and volunteers. Competitors who have concerns around traveling should be aware that the Deferred Candidacy Policy is available to them so that they don’t miss out on the opportunity to represent their Competition Body on the world stage.

Q: I’m a competitor and concerned about travel — what are my options?
A: Please be aware that competitors are entitled to apply for Deferred Candidacy, so that they do not lose out on the opportunity to represent their Competition Body in the future.
