MINNEAPOLIS – Caribou Coffee has introduced a new iced beverage to kick-start summer: Creamy Cold Press.

This new, limited-time beverage combines Caribou’s premium cold press coffee, a rich and sweet cream and a variety of indulgent flavors before pouring over ice to help consumers cool down while they caffeinate.

“During the warm summer months, our customers are looking to maximize time spent outdoors with friends and family, and iced coffee drinks are a delicious part of that experience,” said Eric Hughes, senior director of product development at Caribou Coffee.

“Caribou guests rave about our cold press coffee and we wanted to provide another option, adding a hint of sweet cream and flavor, which lead to the velvety rich Creamy Cold Press.”

Creamy Cold Press drinks are available at Caribou locations in three flavors: vanilla, salted caramel and chocolate almond. The chocolate almond variety can be handcrafted with Caribou’s real dark, milk or white chocolate.

“The vanilla flavor adds a refreshing twist to the iced coffee drink, while the salted caramel and chocolate almond varieties are a more indulgent treat,” says Hughes.

Caribou Coffee will sample Creamy Cold Press and other cold drinks from a mobile sampling cart while handing out great giveaways in our communities this summer. Guests will also find Caribou sampling on their fun Barista Barge that will be floating on Lake Minnetonka, Prior Lake, St. Croix River and other bodies of water.

Fans who share their summer photos, videos and tweets with the hashtag #StayAwakeForIt will have a chance at free tickets, cool Caribou gear, bonus Perks, or possibly see their photo on a giant billboard.

In addition to the Creamy Cold Press, Caribou rolled out a number of new food items earlier this year. Caribou introduced new signature bakery items in February such as the popular mini donut muffins and three new toasted lunch sandwiches in March, including ham and Gruyere on a warm pretzel roll.

Later this summer, guests in select markets can enjoy fresh, ready-to-eat foods such as snack trays, salads and fruit.
