DENVER, CO Denver-based Coda Coffee joins an elite list of the finest roasters in the world. Roast Magazine announced on October 21, 2013, that Coda Coffee has been selected as Macro Roaster of the Year, an honor only nine other coffee roasters have ever received.
The Roast selected Coda based on several factors, including its company mission, dedication to sustainable practices, commitment to employees, education practices, quality of coffee, involvement in the industry, and innovations in roasting.
In spirit of their dedication to sustainability, Coda Coffee is hosting a fundraiser on November 9 at Denver Beer Company to raise money for a very special community in Santo Antonio do Amparo – Minas Gerais, Brazil.
This beautiful yet impoverished commonality is trying to break into the specialty coffee industry and needs our help. Coda was introduced to this family of farmers by Atlas Coffee Importers, where, in 2013, they held a cupping competition in the region with incredible results.
This region features superior varietals, and has exceptional potential for growth and expansion. Coda is holding this fundraiser to give back to these quintessential families, which will improve the quality of life for all, and in turn, lead to higher quality coffee production so the farmers can command a higher premium for their product.
Please consider helping Coda support this up-and-coming coffee territory by attending the fundraising event on November 9 from 6pm – 9pm.
For the advance purchase price of $35, attendees will receive a one-of-a-kind etched pint glass filled with a special collaboration beer between Denver Beer Company and Coda Coffee, refreshments from Udi’s, The Rav House, Kerry Food Group, as well as live entertainment, and a raffle ticket for many great prizes from our partners such as Jiberish Clothing, Nichez and Bunn-O-Matic.
