CHICAGO, IL— “Whenever I buy an instant lottery ticket I have to have a cup of coffee while I scratch it. It’s simply better when they are done together,” Anita Zildzic said when she presented her $250,000 winning $250,000 Crossword ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Chicago.
Zildzic was at home when she scratched her winning ticket.
“I buy one ticket a few times a week and take my time playing while enjoying my coffee. This time, when I realized I won $250,000, I almost spilled my coffee!” The 46-year old Chicago resident plans to use the windfall to buy a house.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sharma Grocery, 6718 North Clark Street in Chicago.
The retailer received $2,500, 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket. $250,000 Crossword is a $10 instant ticket.
