HOUSTON, Texas – ECOM Atlantic, Inc (“ECOM”) today announces that its subsidiary, Maximus Coffee Group LLC (“Maximus”), is rebranding to become Atlantic Coffee Solutions (“ACS”).
Atlantic Coffee Solutions based in Houston operates a large soluble coffee facility and the world’s largest chemical-free decaffeination plant. The plant is part of ECOM’s unique sustainable supply chain model, which extends from sourcing in the origins through to sustainable coffee facilities, such as the ACS plant in Houston.
To mark ACS’s renewal as an ECOM company, ECOM has also appointed Jorge Esteve to serve as the President and co-CEO of ACS. David Martinez, co-CEO of ACS, will continue to serve in that position. Mr. Esteve replaces Carlos de Aldecoa Bueno, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests at his family companies.
Andrew Halle, CEO of ECOM, commented: “One of our business goals is to constantly improve the supply chain all the way from farm to cup.
The Houston plant has immense processing potential and it further integrates our sustainable supply chain model in coffee. ECOM’s network of sustainably sourced coffee all over the world will enable ACS to deliver cost, quality and logistical improvements to customers and provide manufacturing services allowing them to dedicate resources to market growth.”
“We are also delighted to appoint Jorge to the role of co-CEO. He will be a crucial part of driving through increased efficiency in processing and delivery as ACS integrates within the ECOM group.”
