US – Marley Coffee honored with prestigious global industry awards for innovation, taste and excellence

DENVER – Marley Coffee has been honored with industry awards. Marley Coffee’s “One Love” Medium Organic Arabica Roast Coffee was voted the winner of the 2014 Soil Association Organic Awards in the “Non-alcoholic Drinks” category. More than 11,000 public votes were tabulated. The honor was announced at an exclusive awards dinner ceremony at the 2014 Soil Association Annual Conference, held in Swindon, UK on October 8 and 9. As the equivalent of the USDA, the Soil Association is the organic certifier of the UK. These awards have been showcasing the best in organic food and drink for 28 years.
Additionally, “One Love” Medium Organic Arabica Roast won two stars and an “Outstanding” rating in the 2014 Great Taste Awards. Organized by the UK’s Guild of Fine Food, Great Taste is an acknowledged benchmark for specialty food and drink and has been described as the “Oscars” of the food world and the “epicurean equivalent of the Booker Prize.” More than 400 judges bestow the awards annually on the basis of independent blind-taste tests in teams of four or five.
For innovation, EcoCup technology was awarded First Place in the 2014 “A Day In The Life” Innovative Packaging and Process Competition held by the PAC Packaging Consortium. The award was announced at PAC’s “A Day in the Life” Symposium held in Toronto from September 30 to October 2. PAC is a not-for-profit corporation that includes more than 2,100 members throughout the packaging value chain.
