ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Satellite Coffee Franchise Services has announced plans to launch a franchising program for Satellite Coffee’s cafes. Franchise opportunities will become available in October of 2013.
Jean Bernstein, founder and CEO says that franchising is a great way to build on 27 years of café and coffee experience.
Satellite Coffee currently has 8 thriving locations in Albuquerque and is looking to expand its market inside and outside New Mexico.
Satellite Coffee was founded in 1998 by Jean and Mark Bernstein who own another successful restaurant concept in operation since 1987.
“We created Satellite because we wanted a concept devoted to coffee. Our signature drink menu was developed around the excellent beans we have sourced and roasted for almost two decades.
We crafted a fresh food and bakery menu to complement the coffees by using our extensive food and bakery talent and skill.”
The Bernsteins recruited Clyde Harrington, an industry veteran of franchise operations, to join the company several years ago as part of their long term strategy.
According to Harrington, it was the growth potential of Satellite Coffee and the company’s commitment to quality products and operations that first attracted him.

Satellite Coffee locations are compact and efficient at 2,600 to 2,800 square feet and feature on-site production kitchen/bakeries in addition to state of the art coffee and espresso brewing equipment.
Each franchisee will receive plenty of tools, support and hands-on training to learn the business from the inside out.
Ideal franchise partners need to be motivated restaurant/food service professionals who have demonstrated experience in the industry.
