MILAN – International Vending Exhibition, with the edition of 2014, which was held May 7 to 10 in the halls of Fiera Milano, has confirmed its leadership in the numbers on the international industry events.

27,000 square meters of exhibition area, 250 exhibitors, including 20% from abroad and a substantial increase in visitors from over 90 countries; Among these, stands the strong increase of the operators from Eastern Europe and Latin America.

Inside the booths, exhibitors presented the most innovative technologies, products and brands of recognized quality and equipment attractive for design, ergonomics and interface with the user.

“The vending industry is robust and growing, among the few industries still able to maintain employment and to contribute, through years of economic recession, to support the national economic system.

All this, unfortunately, only thanks to the investments made by companies that, instead of being supported as they deserve, are the target of constant penalizing rules and subject to an incomprehensible credit crunch.

The lack of government intervention that will release financial resources and the short-sightedness of the banking system threatens to cause material injury to an industry that is an excellence of Made in Italy, as much appreciated abroad as neglected in Italy”. Says Lucio Pinetti, President of Venditalia and CONFIDA – Italian Vending Association.

It has just closed this year’s edition and Venditalia already looks to the immediate future with a “Special Edition” for 2015. The occasion is naturally Expo 2015 and its main themes: the “Special Edition” will be held at the same time and with the collaboration of TUTTOFOOD, that opens its doors 3 to 6 May 2015 in the week of the inauguration of the World Fair.

“In addition to commercial purposes, ample space will be devoted to the presentation of projects consistent with the themes of Expo, where positive characteristics of the vending industry will be highlighted for important issues such as access to safe food, information and education on nutrition and energy savings, just to bring some examples”. Concludes Lucio Pinetti
