Thanks to a ribbon menu you can adjust each boiler and single group parameters, while controlling temperatures (precise to the degree), service cycles, coffee consumption, automatic cleaning of groups, pre-infusion for each coffee and electricity consumption. Last year, the Vibiemme Replica 2B took part to the espresso machines competition “How to Judge Espresso Machine” organized by Business Coffee in Osnabrück, Germany.

The result of the three-day comparison among machines of different manufacturers, has been extremely positive for Vibiemme that, in terms of performances and coffee extraction profile, was ranked among the best with a coffee machine costing 30% less than the others.

The lever version

Vibiemme also decided to propose an emblem of espresso tradition: the Replica lever machine (or piston). The Replica lever brings us back to the time when the pump to generate the 9 bar pressure necessary for coffee brewing was not yet used and the secret of a good coffee was in the hands – and the strength – of the bartender.

REPLICA3G-PISTON-HX Its advantages arise from the mechanical system which, besides being noiseless when compared to electric pumps, also reduces energy consumption and offers the opportunity to experiment with new extraction profiles for the different kinds of coffee used.

The R-evolution model was designed to offer a renewed aesthetics style and enhanced ergonomics to the bartender.

R-evolution3G Compared to “naked” Vibiemme machines, with steel frames, the R-evolution is made up of thermoformed material and is available in different matt and glossy colors: titanium, black/silver, pearly white, brown, brown/python.

Italian culture was once again the inspiration for the R-evolution designers; especially the works by Lucio Fontana, a prominent personality of European abstract art, suggested R-evolution shapes.

Revolution3G_detail The machine is made up of high quality plastic materials and finished with the same coating process used in the automotive industry.

From the technical point of view, R-evolution is available in electronic and semiautomatic versions, 2 and 3 groups and heat exchanger (HX Technology).

VIBIEMME, the history

It was 1976 when Carlo Ernesto Valente, Mario Biancolini and Giorgio Merigi founded Vibiemme. They had left Faema and knew everything about the world of coffee machines and the latest technology: Biancolini and Merigi had a deep experience in the field as general managers of Faema; Valente has the merit for having contributed to the birth of the modern espresso machine conception, thanks to the E61 group.

Vibiemme adventure begins in a room used as a workshop in the heart of Milan. In those years, Vibiemme is a small business offering maintenance services and studying changes and improvements to thermosiphonic technology and E61group (the heart of the machines) that Vibiemme technicians made more stable.

At the same time the company is ready to launch its first model, the Vibiemme P1, an example of contemporary design and functional to the product features, such as modularity and ease of maintenance.

Two years later, in 1978, the first Domobar model is presented to the market; it is the range of coffee machines for domestic use, renewed and sold by the company still today. In the early ’80s Vibiemme is experiencing a period of economic difficulty; in 1985, Mr. Pietro Osnato, one of the company employees, acquired the majority block of shares.

From that moment on, with competence and pragmatism, Mr. Osnato uplifts the company economic destiny and renovates the entire production process.

By focusing on increasing production and re-investing the income into the commercial development of products, Vibiemme range of machines finally take shape and, at the same time, important and lasting business relationships are established.

VIBIEMME, today The company has important relationships with distributors, dealers, roasters and end users in different parts of the world. Today, the distribution network of Vibiemme products is well-established in Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Ireland and Scandinavia) and in Southeast Asia, where the interest in the field of espresso coffee is surprisingly lively and growing.
