MILAN – Coffee exports from Vietnam are expected to reach 120,000 tonnes or 2 million 60-kg bags in December, up 42.9% from a revised figure of 84,000 tons in November, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said on Monday.
This brings cumulative exports for calendar year 2014 to a record level of 1.69 tonnes, or 28.17 million bags, up 29.7% from 2013, data from the same source show.
The office said the country exported 84,000 tonnes in November, below an earlier projection of 95,000 tonnes, without giving any reason.
Traders have projected December’s export volume between 120,000 and 150,000 tonnes.
