MILAN – Vietnam shipped 186,000 tons, or 3.1 million bags of coffee in April, a 3 percent improvement over the previous month, according to customs department data. The figure exceeded both market and government expectations.
This brings cumulative exports from the beginning of coffee year 2015/16 to almost 1 million tonnes, up 30.6 percent over the equivalent period of 2014/15.
