Coffee exports from Vietnam dropped unexpectedly to 84,059 tonnes in November down 12.3% from the previous month, but still up 6.2% from 79,158 tonnes exported in November 2013, according to revised customs figures.
Traders had earlier forecast the country’s coffee exports at between 120,000-150,000 tonnes, while the government’s estimate was of 95,000 tonnes.
Cumulative exports during the October-November period, the first two months of the 2014/2015 crop year, amounted to 179,859 tonnes, based on the same source.
