SILVERWATER, Australia – Vittoria Coffee are to launch the annual Vittoria Fashion Series for 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia during the week of May 12-18th. As a proud supporter of the Australian Fashion Industry, the Vittoria Fashion Series is a unique collection of limited edition ceramic and takeaway cups, created by Australia’s best designer talent.

The 2019 Vittoria Fashion Series features 12 new designs from leading Australian Designers; Dion Lee, Macgraw, Nobody Denim, Venroy, We Are Kindred and Whitehouse Institute student design competition winner, Caroline Reznik.

Dion Lee was inspired by “sensuality and lingerie” in selecting the two prints for the series from his Spring/Summer 2019 collection, ‘Privacy.’ Dion Lee says of the prints selected for his collaboration with Vittoria Coffee, “The notion of privacy sets the tone through sensuality + lingerie. It is about controlling what people see and don’t see.”

Melbourne based Nobody Denim selected prints from their Resort 2020 collection, ‘Artist Not the Muse,’ which celebrates the brands 20th anniversary. The two prints featured offer a nod to the era of surrealism and impressionism and remain loyal to the brand’s denim foundations.

Nobody Denim embraced this theme of wearable art to collaborate with inspirational young artist, Talia Blank to create an impactful print featuring the inquisitive curves of the female face. The brand’s second design celebrates denim’s truest hue, the Indigo Rinse, as a homage to Nobody Denim 20th anniversary.

Born in Bondi Beach in 2011, Venroy encapsulates the leisure-centric Bondi lifestyle, with the brand concept being developed over many years spent on Sydney’s beaches. Venroy’s Bondi Sunset sunset print captures the spirit of Sydney, while the brush stroke design ties in the artisanal nature of hand painting with the technical nature of Venroy’s iconic swim shorts.

Contemporary Australian womenswear label, We Are Kindred, have selected two prints from their whimsical Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, ‘Meadows’ to be a part of the Vittoria Fashion Series. The brand’s iconic, bespoke floral prints are brought to life by the rich and vibrant autumnal colour palette and a mixture of bohemia and sensuality, showcasing the DNA of the brand.

To further strengthen the ongoing support towards Australian fashion and to enrich the Australian fashion industry, Vittoria announce Caroline Reznik as the winner of the inaugural Vittoria Coffee Design Award. Whitehouse Institute of Design Student, Caroline Reznik will receive $5,000 to further her studies as a part of the award, as well as the opportunity to be featured in the Vittoria Fashion Series, alongside leading Australian designers who have a strong presence not only locally, but on a global level. Vittoria Coffee Design Award winner, Caroline Reznik looks to Renaissance artwork and Classical Ballet for inspiration for the two line drawing prints selected to be a part of the Vittoria Fashion Series for 2019.

Vittoria will activate at on-site at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week within Carriageworks as a pop-up cafe, designed by one of Sydney’s most prolific Interior Designers of hospitality spaces, Matt Woods. The ultra-modern pop-up installation has been designed utilising a zero waste construction method and is a nod to Vittoria’s influence on Australia’s cafe culture.

Rolando Schirato, Managing Director, Vittoria Food and Beverage says of the 2019 partnership, “Vittoria Coffee are proud to support the Australian fashion industry through our ongoing partnership with some of Australia’s greatest designer talent and valued relationship with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. In 2019 we are pleased to enhance our commitment to supporting the Australian fashion industry through the introduction of the inaugural Vittoria Coffee Design Award, nurturing local, student talent to encourage a thriving fashion industry.”

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, 12-18 May, marks the launch of the Fashion Series reusable and takeaway cups, complementing Vittoria Coffee’s exclusive category sponsorship of Fashion Week. Designer takeaway cups are available in Vittoria Coffee cafes from May to August, 2019, and the reusable ceramic crockery is available on vittoriacoffee.com in limited numbers from May, 2019.
