Volcafe appoints new Sustainability Director

Raphaelle Peinado brings over 12 years of experience in sustainability within international organisations where she managed and led a wide range of sustainability projects. After starting her career in Peru where she spent six years, she joined Sucden in 2017 where she most recently developed and led the sustainability strategy of their Cocoa department

WINTERTHUR, Switzerland – Volcafe, one of the world’s largest coffee merchants, announces the appointment of Raphaelle Peinado as Sustainability Director, starting 1 September 2024. As a thought leader and experienced sustainability expert, Raphaelle will drive Volcafe’s global sustainability efforts and implement and further develop Volcafe’s sustainable strategy.

In her role, Raphaelle will lead and implement the expansion of Volcafe’s strategic global sustainability initiatives and further develop and maintain the company’s sustainability partnerships. She will also work in concert with Volcafe’s parent company, ED&F Man Commodities, in implementing the group’s sustainability strategy.

Raphaelle brings over 12 years of experience in sustainability within international organisations where she managed and led a wide range of sustainability projects. After starting her career in Peru where she spent six years, she joined Sucden in 2017 where she most recently developed and led the sustainability strategy of their Cocoa department.
