RIMINI, Italy – The following is a brief description of the expo layout of World of Coffee 2014, being held at the Rimini expo centre and on the Riviera from June 10th to 12th.
Entrance, press room and SCAE Shop
Admission to the expo will be via the West Entrance of the Rimini Expo Centre.
The entrance foyer will host the SCAE Shop, where it will be possible to purchase excellent coffee products, the Press Room and the Business Centre for all international guests.
The expo will occupy halls A5, A6, A7 e C5, C6 e C7, for a total of approximately 20,000 square metres of expo space and over 200 brands on show.
The Expo Area
Halls A7 and C7 will be dedicated to all the exhibitors, Italian and international coffee production companies, exporters and importers, companies specialized in equipment and top grade professional machinery, all the most prestigious brand from 5 continents.
Three important international competitions will also be hosted, the World Brewers Cup, the World Coffee Roasting Championship and Cezve/Ibrik Championship, where the best specialists in roasting, preparation of filter coffee and Turkish style coffee will show their skills, competing for victory.
The expo area will also include the Village area, where small roasting firms, coffee producers and start-up companies will present their products, Brew and Espresso Bar where the world’s best coffees can be tasted, the exhibition of the SCAE Photography Contest and the Coffee New Trends section, dedicated to the latest trends in the coffee world.
The World Barista Championship
Hall A5 is dedicated to the demo areas, while C5 is occupied by the World Barista Championship, real travelling coffee Olympics.
The competition will take place in an area built ad hoc for the champions performing – a sort of arena with tiered seating from which the attendees accompanying contestants and the public can watch the competition and support their champions.
The Main Sponsors
WOC’s main sponsors are two world leaders: the representative of Italian excellence in manufacturing machines and accessories for making coffee, Faema, and one of Europe’s oldest and best known roasters, Julius Meinl.
In World of Coffee they both found an important qualified vehicle for their communication. Their logo will be at the expo, on its advertising and promotional material and will contribute to giving the event further prestige.
There is also a large number of partner magazines, over a hundred Italian and foreign publications: magazines specialized in the food, HoReCa and trade worlds, exclusive periodicals of the coffee and confectionery sectors, which have supported the event in past months in printed and online media, as well as on social networks and which will in part be at the expo.
