World coffee exports down 5.3% in June to 10.57 million bags, show Ico monthy figures

LONDON, UK – World coffee exports fell in June by 5.3% to 10.57 million bags, compared with 11.15 million in June, ICO’s monthly figures show. Arabica shipments slowed down by 10% to 6.418 bags.

Exports of Brazilian Naturals decreased by 14.6% to 2.563 million bags. Compared with June 2019, shipments of Other Milds and Colombian Milds fell by 8.8% and 1.3% to 2.653 and 1.203 million bags respectively.

Robusta exports were up 3%, despite a 10.8% fall in Vietnam’s exports, thanks to higher volumes from Indonesia (+58.2% ) and Uganda (+23%).

 

World coffee exports in the first nine months of coffee year 2019/20 reached 95.356 million bags, down by 5.1% from the 100.463 million bags registered in the same period in 2018/19, reports the ICO.
