LONDON, UK – World coffee exports amounted to 10.9 million bags in June 2019, compared with 10.6 million in June 2018, the Ico reported Thursday in its monthly figures. Exports of Arabicas rose by 6.9% to 7.074 million bags.
Exports for for all three Arabica groups were on the rise. Shipments of Colombian Milds surged by almost 20%, Brazilian Naturals recorded a 8.8% increase, while Other Milds rose marginally by 0.6%. Exports of Robustas were 4% down on year.
World coffee exports in the first 9 months of coffee year 2018/19 (Oct/18 to June/19) increased by 6.5% to 97.28 million bags compared to 91.34 million bags in the same period in 2017/18. Arabica coffees were 9.5% up to 62.8 million bags. Robusta volumes inched up by 1.4% to 34.4 million bags.
In the twelve months ending June 2019, exports of Arabica totalled 82 million bags compared to 75.38 million bags last year; whereas Robusta exports amounted to 46.11 million bags compared to 44.78 million bags.
