MILAN – World coffee exports rose by 7.1% to 10.177 million bags in April, ICO’s monthly figures show. Shipments of Arabicas were up 3.1% to 6.24 million bags. Brazilian Naturals and Colombian Milds saw an increase of 4.9% and 6.8% on year respectively, while exports of Other Milds fell slightly. Robusta exports rose by 14.1% to nearly 4 million bags.
The world’s three largest coffee exporters reported a positive trend over year. Exports from Brazil recovered +4% to 2.307 million bags.
Vietnam’s shipments rose by a whopping 29.2% to 2.55 million bags; exports from Colombia were also up by 3% on year.
