Then there will be different Speciality coffees extracted using the BWS (Blend Wheel System) in the filter , in order to vary the mixture obtained in the cup, alternated with coffee-based drinks and cocktails made by flair bartenders in an innovative eye-catching manner.
But that’s not all: at Caffè della Dolcezza (Sweetness Café), there will also be the new magazine “Passione Espresso”, which highlights coffee in all its forms and more, with stimulating in-depth coverage and numerous recipes.
In Rimini, three days of sweet rational tasting sessions will allow to discover the best of the most “effective” matches and the best single origin coffees for espressos, cappuccinos, drinks and cocktails which, combined with the various specialities of the confectioner’s art, further highlight their characteristics, in a complete sensorial experience.
Espresso’s Future on the International Scenario

Central America meets the European Coffee World
The Central American world of excellent coffee production (producers, technicians and exporters from Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador e Nicaragua) and European buyers interested in finding sustainable new opportunities in special coffees will meet at an event that is one of a kind: the “SCAE Rimini Networking event: Meet & Greet coffee producers Central America”, which will be held on the stand of the CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries) – Dutch Cooperation on 11th June from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Participants will also include the Overseas Agronomic Institute of the Italian Foreign Ministry, the Italo-Latin American Institute and the Italian Coffee Committee.
The event was conceived for the world of production Central American producers of excellent coffee (technicians and exporters), as well as European buyers interested in finding new sustainable opportunities for special coffees and direct contacts with producers in Central America.
The event will also host the presentation of the activities of Dutch Cooperation and Italian Cooperation represented by the IAO, IILA and CIC in Central America, supporting producers of quality coffee.
For the entire duration of the expo, on the CBI stand, in collaboration with the IILA and CIC, a series of Central American coffee tasting sessions will be held, with a space for each country (the coffees will be presented and tasted).
100 Historical Coffee Pots on Show for the First Time
An exhibition of antique coffee pots, the book that tells their complete story (“Coffee Makers- Macchine da caffè” written by Enrico Maltoni and Mauro Carli) and tasting of Kafa coffee (Lavazza), will to be found in the 100 square metres of exhibit space of the stand set up by the Enrico Maltoni Collection in cooperation with Lavazza. 100 models exhibited, representing the entire history of these rare machines, from the 17th to the 20th century, accompanied by original period documents (patents, catalogues, manuals, publicity postcards, operating diagrams) and detailed explanatory technical notes.
There will also be a surprise… actress Sara Parisi will perform (a morning and an afternoon show) “Moka Loka, a woman, an object…a coffee machine”. A travelling performance, in which a coffee machine comes to life, becomes the body of a woman and, with malice and irony, lives to offer its unmistakable aroma.
