On the afternoon of the 16th of July, representatives of the G7 participants accompanied by emissaries from Confindustria, visited the Caffè Mauro plant, a centre of excellence in the Calabrian production sector.

During this exclusive visit, guests were accompanied on a tasting of Bio Peru and Special Espresso blends, for a fascinating sensory experience through the aromatic profiles of botanicals from all over the world, from India to Brazil, to Peru and Colombia.

Bio Peru, part of Caffè Mauro’s sustainability project, is a 100% Arabica, single-origin Rainforest Alliance blend produced by the Norandino Cooperative, with floral and chocolate notes.

DVG De Vecchi

Special Espresso, is a dark roasted blend with Robusta from Africa and East Asia that provide notes of ripe fruit and spices, balancing the slight acidity derived from Brazilian Arabicas.

Caffè Mauro was also the chosen supplier of the B7 intergovernmental forum led by Confindustria, which was held in conjunction with the G7 meeting, and of the Gala Dinner.  During both events, the Caffè Mauro De Luxe blend was served. This blend is of high-quality origins, with an aromatic profile characterised by a good body, the floral notes typical of Brazilian Arabica, and the acidity of Central American coffees balanced by the chocolate scent of Indian Robusta.

This event represents a recognition of the relevance of Caffè Mauro as a leading company in the Mediterranean basin, and an example of virtuous entrepreneurship, combining tradition and innovation, passion for coffee and attention to the global market. The company is included in the ministerial register of historical trademarks of national interest and, for over 75 years, has been open to international trade through the import of the best coffee origins from every continent, and the export of finished products to over 60 countries around the world. The careful selection of raw materials is enhanced by a distinctive know-how that characterises the slow roasting and mixing processes, a tradition of quality that has made Caffè Mauro a commercial model able to establish itself in markets around the globe, helping to spread the excellence of Italian coffee and Calabrian tradition.

“We are very honoured to have been chosen as ambassadors of Italian excellence and Mediterranean tradition in an event of international relevance that aims to develop new solutions for the growth of global trade, in a sustainable and inclusive way,” said Davide Padelli, CEO of Caffè Mauro. “The coffee sector is one of the sectors in which Italy is highly appreciated in the world and which drives the country’s exports. Being able to offer our blends to G7 and B7 delegates is a testament to the quality of our coffee and the ever-evolving brand development processes.”
