World of Coffee Jakarta marks the first World of Coffee trade show in Indonesia and focuses on a deep-rooted connection to one of the largest coffeeproducing and exporting countries in the world
Indonesia ranks as the fourth largest coffee producer in the world and the second largest in Asia.
Indonesia, renowned for its esteemed coffee-growing regions such as Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi, offers a rich tapestry of flavors and traditions that are deeply ingrained in its coffee heritage. Coffee holds paramount significance to Indonesia’s economy ranking as the third most essential commodity.
The economic impact of coffee cultivation not only sustains the livelihoods of communities but also cultivates a strong sense of pride and belonging among the many different regions where coffee is grown across the country’s islands.
Jakarta, the largest city and capital of Indonesia, makes for an ideal host for the event, showcasing the region’s significant role in the global coffee landscape
“World of Coffee Jakarta 2025 shines as a beacon of unity and innovation, spotlighting Indonesia’s rich heritage and unwavering commitment to coffee excellence. As the first show of its kind in Southeast Asia, it marks a pivotal moment in the global coffee scene, where tradition blends seamlessly with modernity, and passion drives advancement. Come join us in Jakarta as we pay homage to our roots, indulge in flavors, and foster camaraderie in the world of coffee,” said SCAI President, Daryanto Witarsa.
Jakarta, much like Busan, has become a symbol of economic and cultural significance for its country. With the success and interest of World of Coffee Busan from regional and international coffee stakeholders in the specialty coffee industry, the second trade show of its kind in Asia will continue to support the positive trajectory of this booming market.
“We’re excited to announce the location of Jakarta, Indonesia, one of Asia’s largest coffee-producing regions and an emerging market, as the host for next year’s event, this success wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and passion of everyone involved, and we sincerely extend our gratitude to all who contributed,” said Danny Shin, CEO of Exporum INC.
